The project "Research, Development and Application of Safety Enhancement Technologies for Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Energy Storage Cores and Systems", co-developed by Narada Power, won the second prize of the 2025 Science and Technology Progress Award of State Grid Corporation of China.

As an important partner of State Grid, Narada Power has always focused on customers' core safety needs. The project has broken through a number of core technical bottlenecks and built a comprehensive and high-precision safety guarantee system.
In terms of battery core safety, Narada Power has developed flame-retardant gel electrolytes, electrode-supported inorganic separators and core technologies for solid-state batteries. Through electrolyte performance optimization and separator controllable preparation technology upgrading, the safety and cycle performance of batteries have been greatly improved, laying a solid technical foundation for the research and development and industrial application of intrinsically safe solid-state batteries.
In terms of intelligent system management and control, the PSO-CNN algorithm has been innovatively developed, controlling the estimation error of the energy storage battery SOC within 2%. Meanwhile, a cluster-level control system and an intelligent operation and maintenance system have been developed to achieve precise power regulation, SOC balancing and dynamic hidden danger prediction, providing core technical support for the integration of high-safety energy storage systems.

In terms of safety protection and emergency response, key technologies such as early thermal runaway detection and early warning of batteries, module-level thermal protection, and fire extinguishing and re-ignition prevention have been breakthroughs. A hierarchical alarm method for mixed combustible gas combustion and explosion has been pioneered, effectively solving the core application safety problems of energy storage systems, such as "inaccurate measurement, ineffective protection, difficult extinguishment and easy explosion".
