A Strong Start! Narada Secures Another 1.5GWh Standalone Energy Storage Project
Release Date:2026-05-18

At the beginning of the new year, Narada has achieved consecutive successes in the domestic and international energy storage markets. Following the successful signing of a 235MWh standalone energy storage project in Greece, the company recently won another order for a 1.5GWh standalone energy storage project in Gansu, marking a strong start for its energy storage business.

The project plans to build a 1.5GWh lithium iron phosphate electrochemical standalone energy storage power station, including 300 sets of 5MWh energy storage battery containers and 75 sets of 5MW step-up integrated cabins.

Upon completion, the project will effectively enhance the local power grid's peak regulation capacity and new energy consumption scale, provide stable support for a power system with a high proportion of new energy, and become a benchmark project for large-scale standalone energy storage in northwest China.

Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Gansu has accelerated the construction of large-scale wind and photovoltaic bases in desert, Gobi and desertified areas, and strived to build a Hexi new energy base. Through continuous development, it has not only become a "testing ground" for new energy technologies, but also placed Gansu at the forefront of the "wind-solar-storage integration" initiative.

By the end of 2025, the total installed capacity of new energy in Gansu exceeded 80 million kilowatts. Meanwhile, the proportion of installed new energy capacity exceeded 64%, and new energy power generation has risen from a "supplementary power source" to a "main power source".

During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the construction of large-scale clean energy bases will be fully accelerated, and energy storage will become a critical support. With long-term accumulation, Narada has a profound understanding of the application scenarios of large-scale clean energy bases.

In response to the weak grid support capacity and insufficient system inertia of large-scale wind and solar bases, Narada's energy storage system can effectively improve grid resilience and ensure the reliable output and stable operation of power.

In particular, the system's active weak grid support capability is outstanding. In areas with a high proportion of new energy, it can provide 1.5 to 3 times overload capacity, effectively stabilize voltage and frequency, solve grid-connected oscillation problems, and respond to frequency fluctuations within 20 milliseconds to avoid the risk of off-grid operation.

Globally, Narada's energy storage systems have performed excellently in the commissioned "new energy + energy storage" projects. The energy storage system supports a significant increase in wind and solar power output, and collaborates with new energy stations to participate in the spot market, significantly improving new energy utilization efficiency and enhancing the project profitability.
