2024 Narada High-Capacity Lithium Strategy Summit was Successfully Held

On October 25, the “Lithium Share Future promising” 2024 Narada High-Capacity Lithium Batteries Strategy Summit was held in Nanjing, China.

Launch of the White Paper

During the White Paper launch, Chen Chao, General Manager of Narada’s Consumer Products Division, presented the “White Paper on the Development of Lithium Battery Industry for Electric Three-Wheelers and Low-Speed Four-Wheelers in China”, systematically outlining the current state and market scale of lithium batteries for low-speed electric vehicles, predicting the electrification prospects for electric three-wheelers and low-speed four-wheelers, and introducing the performance of Narada’s high-capacity lithium batteries and their application in the industry chain.


Chen Chao noted that the number of electric three-wheelers and low-speed four-wheelers in China is expected to grow by 15 million units in 2024, with the lithium battery industry scale exceeding 50 billion.


As the prices of lithium battery raw material continue to decline, market trends such as lead-lithium complementarity and equal pricing are emerging. Under new opportunities, large-capacity lithium batteries are gradually entering the market, slowly replacing traditional lead-acid batteries and creating new market opportunities. Lithium iron phosphate batteries, known for their stability and high safety, are becoming the preferred choice.

Zhou Gang, head of Narada Power's Electric Control Research Institute, discussed the product’s excellent performance from aspects including cell design, PACK structure design, process design, and WeChat mini-program design.

He mentioned that the company has conducted over 100 testing validations according to domestic and international standards and full lifecycle scenario simulations, with the key performances of Narada's high-capacity lithium batteries exceeding current national standards.


He stated, "In fire simulation tests, we simulated fire risks that vehicles might encounter. Narada's high-capacity lithium batteries withstood a two-minute external fire test without emitting smoke, catching fire, or exploding, demonstrating extreme durability."


He emphasized that the launch of Narada's high-capacity lithium battery products represents an important breakthrough in the electrification trend of electric three-wheelers and low-speed four-wheelers, promising users an exceptional experience.


Salons Gather Industry Voices

 

In the subsequent two salon sessions, Ding, founder and editor-in-chief of Global Electric Vehicle Network, along with representatives from electric three-wheeler and four-wheeler manufacturers and charging and swapping ecosystem companies, discussed two major themes: "Trends and Wealth Opportunities in Electrification of Electric Three-Wheelers and Low-Speed Four-Wheelers" and "Ecological and Solution Applications for Lithium Battery in Multiple Scenarios," covering aspects such as lithium battery technology development, charging and swapping ecosystems, market trends, and brand assurance.

Salon guests expressed that in addressing consumer mileage anxiety, lithium batteries are the focus of market attention due to their excellent price advantage, long lifespan, and lightweight characteristics.


The shift from the past "fear of lithium" to the current "affordable lithium" is leading more consumers to choose electric three-wheelers and low-speed four-wheelers equipped with large-capacity lithium batteries, signaling that the lithium era is about to fully unfold. Companies that lay out early and refine their strategies will be best positioned to seize the new opportunities brought by this round of industry upgrades.

The salon guests also discussed the ecosystem model of charging and swapping. They pointed out that an increasing number of end users are joining the charging and swapping ecosystem, with safety remaining the top concern. In-house development of battery cells and battery management systems (BMS) will significantly enhance the quality of charging and swapping systems.


They expressed confidence that, through joint efforts within the industry, consumers will be provided with safer, more convenient, and efficient charging and swapping products and services.

In the second half's marketing session, Wang Jun, General Manager of Zhejiang Changxing Likai Energy Technology Co., Ltd., interpreted the planning for the electric three-wheeler and low-speed four-wheeler segments from the perspectives of brand strategy, market strategy, and product strategy.

He explained that based on over 20 years of deep industry experience and insights, as well as considerations of the input-output across the lithium battery lifecycle, Narada Power has launched high-capacity lithium products with solid technology, changing the after-sales standard in the lithium battery industry with a five-year warranty, truly achieving a leap from technology to product, and from product to commodity.
