Narada Power Source: High Energy Density and High Safety Battery Project Passes Acceptance
Release Date:2026-05-15

On January 14, 2026, the project "Research and Industrialization of Key Materials for High Energy Density and High Safety Batteries", a key research and development program of Zhejiang Province (Leading Goose Program) undertaken by Narada Power Source, successfully passed the acceptance review.

In 2022, Narada Power Source took the lead in undertaking this key research and development program of Zhejiang Province, and carried out comprehensive and in-depth research on the research, development and application of key technologies for high energy density and high safety lithium batteries.

The project adopted technologies such as plasma-assisted high-energy ball milling to improve the battery energy density; developed a high-throughput electrolyte evaluation method, and selected a stable SEI electrolyte formula to extend the battery cycle life; and invented new diaphragm materials with high heat resistance and flame retardancy to enhance battery safety.

In addition, the project has developed a 50Ah high energy density and high safety lithium battery with an energy density of 300Wh/kg and realized industrial verification. The project products have been tested by a third-party testing institution, and the technical indicators meet the requirements. They have been well received by users, achieving remarkable economic and social benefits.

Up to now, the project has applied for 15 national invention patents and published 3 SCI papers, forming fruitful research and development achievements.

The 50Ah high energy density and high safety lithium battery developed by Narada Power Source is based on silicon-carbon anode materials synthesized by plasma-assisted high-energy ball milling and multi-element cathode materials synthesized by multi-physical field coupling solid-phase one-step calcination, which greatly improves the battery energy density.

This battery can reach an energy density of 350Wh/kg with a cycle life of 2000 times. The single battery meets the national safety standards, without fire or explosion. In addition, after 500 full charge-discharge cycles, the capacity retention rate is greater than 94.29%; after 2000 cycles, the capacity retention rate is greater than 80%.

Narada Power Source will continue to develop and produce lithium batteries with higher energy density, larger capacity and higher safety. After large-scale application, they can be widely used in various new energy storage products.
