Seizing New Opportunities in Independent Energy Storage and Deepening Multi-Field Cooperation | Wuchan Huanneng × Narada
Release Date:2025-04-30

Recently, Narada and ZJMI Environmental Energy Co., Ltd (referred to as “ZJMI”) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out comprehensive cooperation in areas such as energy storage technology R&D, product applications, market promotion, and project development.

This cooperation not only represents a deep integration of the technological advantages and market resources of both companies, but also serves as an important step in responding to the national "foreign trade to domestic sales" strategy and promoting the upgrade of the domestic energy storage industry.

As a leader in China’s energy and environmental protection industries, ZJMI has rich technical expertise and project experience in the fields of new energy, energy storage, and smart grids. Narada, on the other hand, holds a leading position in energy storage system R&D, manufacturing, and application. The strategic cooperation between the two companies will focus on three main areas:

Market Cooperation: Both parties will jointly explore domestic and international energy storage markets, promote energy storage products and solutions, and collaborate in industry exhibitions, forums, and other events to enhance brand influence.

Technology Cooperation: The two companies will collaborate on the research and development of battery technologies, energy management systems, and energy storage system integration. They will regularly conduct technical exchanges and share R&D results and industry information.

Industry Resource Integration: Both parties will share resources with suppliers and partners across the energy storage industry chain, optimize supply chain management, reduce procurement and operational costs, explore the integration and development models of energy storage with other related industries, expand business fields and market space, and carry out talent exchange and training cooperation.

In the context of the constantly changing global economic environment, China is actively promoting enterprises to explore the domestic market and advance the integration of domestic and foreign trade.

Through this strategic cooperation, both parties will fully leverage their respective technological advantages and market resources in the energy storage field to jointly respond to the challenges brought by global economic changes. While making overseas investments and expanding their international presence, they will continue to drive technological innovation and product localization.

The release of the "Document No. 136" has promoted the comprehensive entry of new energy into the market, with clear guidance such as "encouraging the construction of independent energy storage power stations" and "improving the market mechanism," which has activated the market mechanism for energy storage. Independent shared energy storage has entered a period of greater development space.

Narada and ZJMI are seizing new opportunities and exploring market-oriented operating paths such as capacity leasing and peak-valley arbitrage through the "independent shared" model, providing a replicable industry benchmark for the future.

Narada and ZJMI have been cooperating in the energy storage field for many years. Since 2025, the company has signed multiple orders with ZJMI.

Recently, Narada signed a 400MWh energy storage system and battery procurement contract with ZJMI's subsidiary, WZ Group. This includes the procurement of a 100MW/200MWh independent shared energy storage power station in Ruili City and a 200MWh energy storage battery project. Narada will supply the Center L Plus 20ft 5MWh+ liquid-cooled energy storage system and 314Ah energy storage-specific batteries.

The signing of these two contracts not only reflects Narada's comprehensive strength in battery manufacturing and energy storage system integration, but also highlights ZJMI 's strategic determination to accelerate its layout in new energy storage. Through large-scale procurement and customized services, this cooperation not only responds to policy directions but also explores new business models.

Once again selected for the BNEF Global Tier-1 Energy Storage Providers list, Narada's recognition will provide strong endorsement for further expanding its overseas energy storage market, marking the continued enhancement of the company's competitiveness in international markets.

Both parties will accelerate the layout of the domestic independent shared energy storage market, jointly promote the application of energy storage technology in large-scale power station scenarios, and contribute to the realization of the "dual-carbon" goals.
