Narada: 19 Days to Deliver Dunhuang 120MWh Energy Storage Project

Recently, Narada won the bid for the Phase I Energy Storage Project of Power China's Dunhuang Shazhou Energy, with a construction scale of 30MW/120MWh. 


The project involves the delivery of 24 Narada Center L Plus 20ft 5MWh Liquid Cooling Energy Storage Systems, with production, integration, and shipping completed in just 19 days.


The project is located at the Beihu Wind Power Base in Dunhuang, Gansu Province. The local climate, characterized by strong winds, sand, and significant temperature differences between day and night, poses challenges to the adaptability and stability of the energy storage system.


Narada’s 20ft 5MWh+ Liquid Cooling Energy Storage System features key components and PACK with IP67 protection rating and multiple safety protection designs, ensuring complete prevention of dust intrusion and safe, reliable system operation. The system's intelligent liquid cooling temperature control technology, with a multi-stage variable diameter liquid cooling pipeline design, can control the internal temperature difference within 3 degrees Celsius.


The project’s Liquid Cooling Energy Storage Containers are equipped with Narada’s self-developed and manufactured 314Ah batteries. These batteries, while maintaining the advantage of a 12,000-cycle life and a 20-year battery lifespan, have a single-cell energy exceeding 1,000Wh and a volumetric energy density of over 390Wh/L.



In the application scenario of a 20ft container, the 314Ah battery capacity perfectly matches the 5MWh system capacity, achieving an optimized balance between capacity and cost for the 20ft energy storage system.


Compared to the currently mainstream 20ft 3.72MWh energy storage systems, the Narada Center L Plus 20ft 5MWh Liquid Cooling Energy Storage System offers a 35% increase in energy, while saving 43% in footprint, significantly reducing the initial purchase cost of the energy storage system, demonstrating notable cost-saving effects.



After the project was launched, various departments at Narada worked closely together, efficiently mobilizing resources to complete the delivery in just 19 days, demonstrating strong organizational coordination and execution capabilities, once again creating the impressive "Narada speed".


Additionally, thanks to the self-developed key equipment, Narada's energy storage system completed pre-installation and commissioning work before leaving the factory, greatly shortening the grid connection debugging time after the project arrived. The project's operation and grid connection are of significant importance for enhancing the local renewable energy absorption capacity and stabilizing the safety level of the power grid.


In the future, Narada will continue to focus on the "Belt and Road" initiative, using the Jiuquan production base as an important strategic pivot for the western development, seizing the good market development opportunities in the field of new energy storage to support the vigorous development of the western region.
